Fundraising for Furry Friends Farm 2010

One of the students of American Degree Program (ADP) was involved with a fund-raising project for Furry Friends Farm, a NGO shelter for abandoned dogs and cats; the shelter is governed by Raleigh International KL. Her team planned to fund-raise through sales in colleges and so she approached Fayette House for support to sell foods and drinks in SEGi College Subang Jaya. In line with Fayette House's objectives to serve the students of ADP in any way possible, Fayette House supported the event.

On 20th and 21st January 2010, team Delta of Furry Friends Farm set up booth at 1st Floor of college. Among the foods on sale were assorted breads and ABC (ice kacang), besides their top-sale item, bubble tea! A few Fayette House members helped out with the sale by pulling in crowds and helping with the making of bubble tea; it was a fun-filled experience! The fund-raiser was worth the effort because at the end of the two-day fund-raiser, the cause was a big success!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2010

In an effort to make studies in Malaysia more American for the students of American Degree Program (ADP), Fayette House celebrated Martin Luther King's Day in college on 18th Jan 2010.

Besides playing videos of Martin Luther King's famous "I Have A Dream" speech, informative fliers on the legendary figure were distributed to students as well. But the highlight of the celebration was having booth visitors write their dreams on memo pads provided, to be shared with everyone in college. "Dreams" shared included academical wishes, like 'obtaining GPA of 4.0', and random wishes, like 'marrying Miley Cyrus'. With no doubt, it was an interesting celebration.

Freshie Party Spring 2010

The Freshmen from January 2010 Intake, senior Peacocks and Fayette House members who took part in Freshie Party Spring 2010 had a real blast. Although the party was just a simple party with simple games and activities, it was simply awesome! Everybody not only left with more friends, everybody left with a smile too. And that was the whole point of the event; to make new friends and to have fun.

Orientation for January 2010 Intake

It's the beginning of a new year and it's also the time where new students come in for a new semester. What's better than a fun orientation for the young Peacocks? Hand in hand with Student Council of SEGi College Subang Jaya, Fayette House took part in the orientation for students of January 2010 Intake. We had ice breaking games together where everybody got to laugh, mingle around and have fun together. Before anyone knew it, everybody made a handful of new friends!
