Election Candidates' Pledges

Dear Peacocks,

Fayette House Election 2010 is taking place tomorrow, October 27 from 10am to 5pm at Room 10.8. Please cast your votes to determine your student representatives for Term 2011.

Following are the pledges of your candidates who are contesting in Fayette House Election 2010:
  1. "In my point of view, I wish to see the ADP student actively participating in all events of Fayette House in 2011. Besides that, I hope to see more ADP-ins are aware the presence of Fayette House as an active student body in SEGi College and more student are excited about Fayette House events. I promise I will try my best to help Fayette House to fulfil all the above and ready to commit myself to take up the challenge as a Fayette House officer to gain more experience, fun, social skills, confidence and most of all friends by meeting new people and collaborating with them." ~ Alicia Khoo
  2. "I can be really loud sometimes but luckily nobody hates me for it. At times I could be really shy so please do not ask me any tough questions or so. I absolutely LOVE studying here in our college, so I would like to make it a better place or probably a second home for everybody in our lovely college. =)" ~ Angie Ng
  3. "I, Ash Raja, pledge to always do whatever it takes to lead and help everyone within the ADP. I also pledge to do my best to plan and conduct more activities, games and events. It would be my honor to lead this amazing group of students." ~ Ash Raja
  4. "I would like to popularize Fayette House among non-ADP student as more is merrier and have events that students will enjoy like “De-stress before Exams” to help student to focus better for exams. My goal is to help ADP students to have fun while studying hard." ~ Danny Tan
  5. "Much to my surprise, I was stressed by a lecturer to be a part of the Fayette House. Indeed, trust is much involved, which has not been shown, but has been proven capable. Why risk it all when opportunities come knocking. I, Donavan, will do my best to represent and be a guide to all parties associated with the Fayette house whilst I juggle between my education, work and private life." ~ Donovan Moses
  6. "To build a place where students can come to find and discover the diversity of its student population. To provide a mutual support system and a positive learning environment in which every student has an opportunity to develop communication and leadership qualities which in turn foster’s self-confidence and personal growth." ~ Hilmy Yadhya
  7. "I, Jonathan Bryan Dexter, solemnly pledge to always perform to the best of my abilities as an officer of the Fayette House. As an officer I will also lead the Fayette House to new highs, bounded only by my imagination." ~ Jonathan Dexter
  8. "My promise is to help the students gain experience with Fayette House by joining our events. Hopefully with your votes, I’ll do my best." ~ Kavilan
  9. "If elected I will make wise decisions and keep everyone's inputs in mind. I cannot promise you things like more recess and longer lunch, but I can promise you that I will always listen to your suggestions and take them to the rest of the student council. I will bring up new ideas to the student council for educational and social programmes.

  10. "I really hope all ADP students will participate actively in events and activities of the Fayette House in the near future.
    Being an ADP-ian, we should all strive to work together for the benefit of our student community. We should work together to create a bond of friendship and respect that will last us for a lifetime. I promise that I will commit myself to the student body and try my best to do what's best for all of us. I will also try to make everything we go a learning experience that will benefit us socially, academically and spiritually." ~ Leonora Lim
  11. "I believe being an ADP-ins, will make me proud to be associate with Fayette since I heard a lot of beneficial activities being organized by the officers. I’m sure I’ll participate actively in any way, physically or mentally since it will be fun and enjoyable. In the years to come, ADP-ins may be able to gain memorable experience from all activities that has been organized by Fayette House in 2011. If I am given a chance to be nominated as a board member in Fayette House 2011, I will give my full cooperation and participate in whatever events for the benefit of the club and also will provide creative ideas to attract more students to join the club and make every event a memorable and successful one." ~ Melody Kwa
  12. "My vision for Fayette House is to help provide a forum under which international and local students can better mingle and get to know about one another and their cultures. I also hope that Fayette House will be better enabled to work towards fulfilling the wishes of the ADP students by providing a centre where they can relay their hopes and problems for the benefit of the ADP Programme. Lastly to establish a good working relationship between Fayette House, as representatives for the students, and the ADP administration." ~ Michelle Kuria

  14. "I would like to pick up where the previous board members left and provide a better environment to all ADP members.   15. "As a candidate for Fayette House 2011, my vision is to be able to utilize my skills and knowledge to be more involved and aid in organizing more fun events that give back to society & at the same time encourage the involvement of more SEGi students in these events." ~ Rekha

"My vision and promise for Fayette House 2011 is to contribute insightful apparition, utmost effort and cultivate team spirit to uplift not only the members of the Board, to serve, but also students of Upper Iowa University in the Subang Campus, to participate. My aim will center at team effort, where participation and input will be key ingredients, to continuously raise the bar in exceeding student expectations towards activities and services conceived by the Fayette family. Fresh and revolutionary ideas, as well as integrated effort once again, will keep us ahead of track and further polish the face and outlook of Fayette House for a brighter, promising future." ~ Saberina Beneet
  17. "Before I start with my vision and promises I would like to briefly introduce myself. My name is Shamala Nair d/o Sreetharan. I am currently doing my degree in Human Resource Management (HRM). I’m a dedicated student, a friendly person and very sociable. As for my vision and promises, I promise that I will cooperate with the rest of Fayette house member to produce great events. I also promise to keep Fayette House as active as possible. Furthermore, I would like to build a place where students can come and learn something new about the American environment as well as a place where students can overcome their fear of being independent." ~ Shamala Nair
  18. "My promise is to make Fayette House not only an ADP student body but to connect with rest of our student population. To bring about change and versatility to our college. And to bring American culture to our doorstep." ~ Surendran
